Country Concerts in MN: Miranda Lambert

I just found out the most exciting news ever this morning! A few girls and I are going to Hackensack, MN for girls weekend on March 20-22. I was so excited to hear that Miranda Lambert will be performing at the Northern Lights Casino in Walker, MN on March 21st and 22nd which is 10 mins away from where we are staying! Right after Christmas I bought Miranda Lamberts first Cd Kerosene and last week I bought her newest album Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. I love all of her songs and I am so happy that I finally get the chance to see her perform live. The top 5 songs I am most excited to hear are: 1."Me and Charlie Talking" 2. "Kerosene" 3. "Bring Me Down" 4. "Gunpowder and lead" 5. "More Like Her." If anyone wants to hear more about Miranda's background let me know and I will look it up but right now I am going to buy my friends and I some Miranda Lambert tickets!

Country Concerts in MN: Chuck Wicks Pics

My camera decided not to work for most of the Chuck Wicks concert but I did get a few good pics. The middle picture of Chuck is how close we were to him that's with no zoom. As I was taking the picture he touched my friends Jamie and Cara's hand but I missed out dang it! This is why I think everyone should go to a concert at the Cabooze cause it is amazing to be that close to the artist. Pat Green is the next country artist coming to the Cabooze. I wrote a blog with all the information a few days ago so check it out.

You can submit or vote for your favorite album on Peoples Choice Awards website. I am so excited for the release of this album! I have a feeling it will be just as amazing as their last albums have been.

Country Concerts in MN: Clint Black

The legendary Clint Black will be in Minnesota in just two days. On January 17Th at 8 p.m. Clint will be playing at the Mystic Lake Casino Showroom. Clint Black had his first number #1 single in 1989 with "A Better Man." Since then he has had close to a dozen #1 hits and countless others in the top 20 country charts. To date Clint has sold more than 18 million Cd's and it doesn't look like he is going to stop anytime soon. I wish i was able to make it to this once in a lifetime concert but I am taking care of my little niece this weekend. I was pretty surprised to find Clint Black tickets for the Mystic Lake Casino still available when I was looking around on the web. If any of you go to this concert please let me know how it was. I'm pretty sure everyone will say it was amazing!

Country Concerts in MN: Pat Green and Randy Houser

My friends Jamie, Cara and I had a blast at the Cabooze last weekend watching Chuck Wicks. The Cabooze is an amazing place to see a performer cause you are literally right next to them. Jamie and Cara got to touch his hand but I was to busy taking pictures :( Chuck Wicks sounded amazing and he is now in my top 5 of most gorgeous men on this planet. I found out yesterday that on Febuary 19th Pat Green and Randy Houser will be coming to the Cabooze. Pat Green is best known for his two singles "Wave on Wave" and his newest single "Let Me." "Let Me" is one of my new favorite songs and I can't wait to hear it up close and personal. Randy Houser only has one single out so far but it is a pretty great song. Randy sings "Anything goes" and he also helped write "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk" which Trace Adkins made a hit. I think everyone should experience a concert at the Cabooze because it is unlike any other venue. Maybe this time I will be the one who gets to touch one of the performers hands.

Country Music news: People's Choice Awards

On January 7Th, 2009 the People's Choice Awards will be airing on CBS. A few of our country artist received nominations but not many. The artist that will be representing country music at the People's Choice Awards are: Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney for Favorite Male Singer, Carrie Underwood for Favorite Female Singer, and Rascal Flatts for Favorite Group. The three songs that were chosen for Favorite Country Song are; "Last Name" by Carrie Underwood, "Love Story" by Taylor Swift, and "Take Me There" by Rascal Flatts. I Love all three of these songs and the artist that were nominated but I don't think I will be taking time out of my night to watch this award program. It doesn't make sense to me why they only had three choices under each category when 2008 was such an amazing year for every form of entertainment. Also, I don't understand why they didn't have separate categories for favorite female/male country artist and favorite female/male pop artist. Brad Paisly and Kenny Chesney should not be in the same category as Chris Brown. They are all amazing performers/artist but you can't compare there music and style with each other cause they are so different. The only thing that might make me watch the People's Choice Awards are the performances by Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood. They always put on an amazing show and it might be worth sitting through an award show that just doesn't really make sense to me to be able to see them perform.
